Dear August,
Thank you for the slow arrival of autumn.
Thank you for arriving so compassionately.
Thank you for never asking the world to change and accept it overnight.
A reminder that change can begin quietly, almost unnoticed at first.
A shift in the colors,
reminding the world of the beauty of change.
A softer light, reminding the world that it's okay to slow down, to seek rest and retreat, as the sun does.
A colder morning,
reminding the world that warmth is not only found
in the seasons around us,
but in the safety we create within ourselves
and with each other.
May we learn to release what we no longer need to carry,
Like the trees release their leaves not because they failed to keep them, but because they know what they need to survive the season ahead.
So Dear August
Help me loosen my grip on certainties Teach me that theres more to Life Then what I already know.
